Children : Caucasian infants, toddlers, and older children are available through our Russia Program. The children available in Russia range in age from 6 months to 15 years. Generally healthy, some special needs available. Sibling groups sometimes available. Unrelated children can be placed together.

Requirements : Married couples and single women (over 25) may apply. Applicants who are over 50 may not be considered for an infant in most areas. Few other restrictions.

Requirements : Families must complete a dossier and file for INS approval before a referral of a child can be made.

Travel : Two trips are required. The first trip is approximately 6 days and consists of meeting the child and filing the formal petition to adopt. Parents must appear in court during the second trip, and may visit their child during the 10 day appeal period. The second trip is approximately 16 days.

Timeframe: The timeframe to adopt varies depending on the age and sex of the child requested. Generally, the process thakes approximately 18 months to complete. Families must complete a dossier and file for INS approval before a referral of a child can be made.
